The weekend promises to be action – filled, with the 7:45am Saturday morning early start featuring an ‘Adventure Dog Walk’ in support of the Uitenhage SPCA and sponsored by Royal Canin.
The gates open at 9am with demonstrations kicking off with the ‘EP Fancy Pigeon Show’, ‘EP Dog Jump Championships’, ‘EP Agility Championships’, ‘Snake and Reptile Show’ and the ‘Eastern Province Boerboel Puppy Dog Show’ to name but a few. Pet lovers have so much to see and do, between supporting your favourite animal charity, seeing the shows as well as a variety of exhibitors on offer, you won’t know where to start.
This year ‘In the Garden Expo’ will also be part of the show, so visitors will pay one entrance fee and get into two expos. With the two marquee tents hosting a massive number of exhibitors with some really beautiful stands with products and services covering a vast spectrum of pets and garden options. Be on the lookout for the Animaltalk Magazine stand which is at the expo with everyone getting to walking away with a complimentary magazine or two in hand!
During the expo there is an “Animal Outreaches” fun agility and “Animal Outreaches” dog competition and ‘Domestic Animal Care’ fun dog games competition for the public to enter. All proceeds go directly to the charities involved.
The ‘Motherwell Pet Movement’ is the charity of choice for the expo and there is also a drop off point for unused goodies and pet food in support this charity, although this is only one of over ten animal charities that are supported and have stands at this expo.
Liza Vermaak, event organizer, is very happy with all to offer the public and said the vibe at the expo is one to be experienced. Visitors are able to bring their pets to the expo but please note we do ask they be on leashes and all vaccinations up to date. We hope to see you there.
