Animaltalk Top Dog Awards – behind the scenes with the agility champs!

Brandi showing off her skills

With the Animaltalk Top Dog Awards ceremony done and dusted, we are not done celebrating and continue to introduce you to some of the champions!

2nd place small

Sam Wainwright and Brandi

Dog’s breed and age Jack Russell Cross, 7 and half years old

How long have you been taking part in agility? Around 5 years

Previous achievements? Placed 3rd at the 2015 SA Champs in 2015, won KUSA nationals for non- contact (2014). Brandi is a triple champion.

What do you enjoy most about agility? I enjoy my time on the course with Brandi. I enjoy the rush I get from negotiating a tricky course and putting into practise what we have been training. We have a very good bond and I enjoying coming off the course knowing that she and I gave our best and had fun doing it.

How would you describe your dog’s personality? She is a feisty little girl but deep down she has a very small heart. A very lovable girl, but also independent. She loves to be let loose to explore in her own time especially new surroundings.

What is her quirkiest habit? Biting my shoes/laces when she gets very excited about going out.
